Mulberry (Morus citrifolia)

The wood is a bright yellow when first cut but then mellows to a browner yellow, which if left exposed to the sun, will eventually turn brown.  Mulberry was once planted in prison exercise yards and the nursery rhyme ‘Here we go round the Mulberry bush’ is believed to come from this.
