The Celtic Fountain pen in London Plane with Platinum plate and postable cap


 

Lacewood - London Plane (Platanus acerifolia)

The wood shows broad rays surrounded by curving banks of other tissues; the whole effect is that of a lace fabric.  London plane results from an accidental cross between American sycamore (a plane, not a true sycamore) and Turkish plane in 1670.  The strong, stable timber is pale brown, usually with a yellow-pink tinge.
