Solid wood Keepsake boxes

These are all solid wood traditionally dovetailed boxes made from contrasting woods showing the beautiful contrast of the very dark American Walnut and the pale cream Sycamore,Elm and Wych Elm and Oak and Brown Oak. The box is hinged on a wooden dowel and a tongue of wood from the top is used as a handle. The interior sides of the box have been left unlined and have been waxed with natural bees wax. The interior bottom of the box has been lined with a thick 3mm honey coloured natural leather. The whole box has then had several layers of Bees wax and 'Rennaisance' wax applied (this wax is used by the British museum to protect their valuable antiques). The base is lined with a blue baize. The boxes measures Total length....22.5cms. Width....14cms. Depth ...9cms. Internal measurements are..Length....20cms. Width....11.5cms. Depth...8.5cms.

An additional tray can be added for an additional charge of £10 and these will be made using mitres and inlayed keys.
