Sarah's Desk Box in Bog Oak , Elm and Holly

The box's main body is Elm and the top is made from a 'starburst' of Bog Oak and English Holly. The box has had several coats of 'Renaissance wax' added to help resist finger and water marks, I only ask that your Brother-in-law resists the temptation to use spray polishes as these ruin the finish, all he needs to do is buff it with a clean cloth. There are small velour feet to the underside and the interior is finished with green velour. The starburst is surrounded by a band of the more darker Irish Bog Oak for contrast.
